Steven, surely you jest? I think you had better examine yourself closely to see if the aliens have taken you over and turned you green. :-) Otherwise I can only assume you've been away from home too long. Yes banana sandwiches, two slices of fresh home made wholemeal bread, spread with either butter or margarine, one sliced ripe banana added as a filling and you have an exclusively New Zealand way of lunch. It occurred to me that if bananas become extinct :-( I wouldn't have anything to eat when I picnic.
Noeline Whitebait patties - Hokey Pokey Icecream
Bluff Oysters - Nelson Scollops - Edendale
Cheese - Roxburgh Cherries - Clyde Apricots
Field Mushrooms...the dream goes on and on
P.S. It occurred to me that some may be thinking I should move on to the
food group but you will concede that the subjects I have been persuing are
part of N.Z. culture.
